What is its purpose?
This simple indicator describes the number of children (or specific groups of children, e.g. internally displaced persons, minority groups) that can access education. The indicator can measure enrolment in schools and (in an emergency context) in temporary learning spaces.
How to Collect and Analyse the Required Data
Collect the required data from school registers or education authorities' data on enrolment.
Disaggregate by
The data can be disaggregated by grade levels, gender and target group, such as minority groups, children with disabilities or mother language.
Important Comments
1) ECHO phrases this indicator slightly differently, as "number of targeted girls and boys enrolled in formal education services" and "number of targeted girls and boys enrolled in non-formal education services".
