Enrolment in Vocational Education Training

1) To collect the required information, use the target VET institutions’ registers or education authorities' data on enrolment.

Disaggregate the data by trade (e.g. carpenter, hairdresser), gender (male, female) and the target group (e.g. certain minorities, unemployed youth, people with disabilities).

1) The enrolment numbers can sometimes be used as a basis for VET institution performance evaluation and for funds allocations by the educational authorities. In such circumstances, different interests can be involved in student registration/ enrolment calculation, and care should be taken in interpreting this indicator, especially when you do not have any control over the data recording.
